Samsung mobile phone Android 13 / One UI 5 Beta 3 system integrated new custom lock screen

Lock screen customization is the main feature included with Apple’s iOS 16. This feature, combined with the iPhone 14 Pro Smart Island, undoubtedly brings a new look to the iPhone and helps its customers bring a personalized look to the devices they use most.

While some Android manufacturers are already trying to emulate Smart Island through software, Samsung is now bringing system-level lock screen customization with Android 13 / One UI 5 Beta 3 that previously required the Good Lock tool setup. The following is a comparison with the iOS 16 lock screen style.

As video creator Vaibhav Jain pointed out, the One UI 5 Beta 3 system's custom Samsung lock screen process is similar to Apple's iOS 16. As of now, Samsung offers five different clock styles, while Apple offers eight. Also, in both operating systems, the user can change the clock color.

W hen adding new wallpapers, both operating systems provide background collections, which are highlighted in a similar way. While Apple offers built-in and third-party widgets, as of now, Samsung only offers widget icons for notifications.

After the release of the iPhone 14 / Pro series, Samsung also ridiculed Apple for being outdated with the concept of folding screens, large-pixel cameras...etc.
