Shanghai has promoted a total of 820,000 new energy vehicles

According to the Shanghai Securities News China Securities Network, today, Shanghai held a press conference on the theme of "Building a People's City and Creating a Better Life". At this press conference, Hu Guangjie, secretary of the Shanghai Construction and Transportation Work Party Committee, talked about the development of new energy vehicles in Shanghai.

Up to now, Shanghai's new civil buildings have fully implemented the mandatory green building standards, with a total of 315 million square meters of green buildings and 652 million square meters of energy-saving buildings. The energy-saving renovation of existing buildings has been steadily implemented, with a cumulative total of 43.72 million square meters. The construction method has been transformed, and prefabricated buildings account for more than 90% of newly started projects. Green and low-carbon transportation has been promoted in depth. A total of 820,000 new energy vehicles have been promoted, and 588,000 charging piles of various types have been built.

According to data released by the Shanghai Public Security Bureau in July, as of the end of June 2022, the number of new energy vehicles in Shanghai reached 710,000, accounting for 15.74% of the total number of vehicles. Among them, there are 380,000 pure electric vehicles, accounting for 53.52% of the total number of new energy vehicles. In the first half of the year, 85,692 new energy vehicles were newly registered, a decrease of 47,436 vehicles or 32.01% compared with the number of new registrations in the first half of last year. New registrations of new energy vehicles accounted for 45.10% of new registrations of vehicles.

Qiu Wenjin, deputy director of the Shanghai Development and Reform Commission, once said that in the first half of 2022, the output value of new energy vehicles in Shanghai will reach 103.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 57.2%, making it the fastest growing strategic emerging industry.
