Toshiba Electronic Components and Storage Co., Ltd. announced that due to a power outage during the inspection on September 11, the operation of the Japanese semiconductor company Iwate Plant (the main production plant of Toshiba Electronic Components and Storage Co., Ltd.) has been suspended.
The situation as of 16:00 on September 12 and its impact are as follows:
- We are evaluating damage to work in process.
- There is no major damage to the production equipment, and some production lines have resumed operation. We expect to fully return to pre-outage production levels on September 17th.
Toshiba is expected to release an update on the event on September 14.
