Tencent x Logitech G cloud gaming handheld released


On August 2, Logitech G officially announced that it has reached a cooperation with Tencent Games, and will launch a cloud gaming handheld that supports multiple cloud gaming services later this year.

Now, the handheld has appeared on the Logitech G official website for pre-sale, with a retail price of $349.99 (about 2453.43 yuan) and a starting price of $299.99 (about 2102.93 yuan).

The Logitech G cloud gaming console measures 256.84 mm x 117.21 mm x 32.95 mm and weighs 463g. It has a white appearance, an asymmetric joystick design, a grip that fits your palm, and a dedicated G key. The handle, trigger, and other parts have a non-slip texture, the word G is printed on the back, and there are switches, volume keys, interfaces, etc. on the top.

Logitech G cloud gaming handheld is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, equipped with 4GB LPDDR4 memory and 64GB storage, and supports Micro SD card expansion. The machine is equipped with a 7-inch 1920 x 1080 FHD IPS LCD screen with a maximum brightness of 450nits and supports a 60 Hz refresh rate.

The Snapdragon 720G  released in 2020, supports 4G networks, is equipped with a 2.3GHz dual-core A76 + 1.8GHz six-core A55, and the GPU is Adreno 618. It is the thousand yuan machine level in 2020.

In addition, the Logitech G cloud gaming handheld is equipped with stereo speakers, a stereo microphone, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB-C interface. It claims to have a battery life of over 12 hours and can be fully charged in 2.5 hours.

The Logitech G cloud gaming handheld supports 1080P / 60FPS to play cloud games, and pre-installs Xbox cloud games, GeForce Now, and Steam Link, but these subscriptions must be purchased additionally. In terms of the system, the machine is equipped with Android 11, so it can theoretically be used to play mobile games.

The Logitech G cloud gaming handheld will be available in North America on October 17th.
