TSMC: The progress of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile phone is faster than the iteration of the Dimensity 9 series

According to the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit schedule, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is expected to be released in November this year and will use TSMC's 4nm process. According to Weibo blogger @Digital Chat Station, "Qualcomm MediaTek's flagship line is coming, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 terminal is progressing faster than the Dimensity 9 series iterative terminal, and the Snapdragon 7 series real iterative terminal is later than the Dimensity 8. They all use TSMC processes without exception.”

The blogger also said, "The reputation of Samsung's technology has declined in the past two generations, and 4nm has been rapidly devolved to the Snapdragon 6 series and wearable chips. In addition, Samsung's Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile phone will be released later."

The first batch of mobile phones equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen2 is planned to be released after Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit. It is tentatively scheduled for the second half of November, and the progress of the first manufacturers is OK. The Xiaomi Mi 13 series, Redmi K60 series, and vivo X90 series will all be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor.
