Valve recently showed the official Dock base for the Steam Deck handheld

Valve recently showed the official Dock base for the Steam Deck handheld at the 2022 Tokyo Game Show. The base is a docking station that is still not on sale.

As can be seen from the picture, the base adopts a simple pure black design with multiple interfaces at the rear. According to the officially announced parameters, the base is equipped with 3 USB 3.1 Gen 2, Gigabit Ethernet port, power port, HDMI 2.0, DP 1.4.

Additionally, Valve previously confirmed that Steam Deck supports higher resolutions when connected to the dock, but won't get the same performance boost as the Switch does in that mode.

The base was originally planned to be released at the end of this spring, but in June this year, Valve announced that due to a shortage of parts and the shutdown of the manufacturing plant due to the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the production of the official Steam Deck base was delayed, and no follow-up was disclosed.
