In addition to releasing the new Apple TV 4K with the A15 Bionic chip, Apple today also previewed several new Siri-related features for Apple TV in the tvOS 16 updates later this year, at least a few of these features were enabled in the tvOS 16.1 release candidate. In addition, Apple today also pushed the tvOS 16.1 RC version and HomePod v16.1 RC version.
Upcoming new features:
- Siri voice recognition for up to six family members will let the Apple TV 4K know who's talking and respond with suggestions tailored to them based on their user profile.
- Users wearing AirPods will support "Hey Siri" without the need for a Siri remote.
- Denmark, Luxembourg, and Singapore will support Siri on tvOS later this year. Support for Chile, Finland, and South Africa has also recently been added.

In addition, Siri has been redesigned on Apple TV, and the interface is more compact, and users can quickly view the results in the lower right corner of the screen at a glance. This new design has been implemented in the tvOS 16.1 release candidate and will be rolled out to all users when tvOS 16.1 is released next week.
