Apple is unlikely to hold new product launch events this month

Mark Gurman (Mark Gurman) said that Apple is developing new iPad Pro, Mac, and Apple TV models, at least some of which will be released this month. However, Gurman still believes that Apple is unlikely to hold a new product launch event this month to release these new products.

In the latest issue of the Power On newsletter, Gurman said: "Last month's big iPhone 14 launch may be Apple's last major launch in 2022." He believes that any new iPad, Mac, and Apple TV product launches will all be announced through press releases, media briefings, and updates to the Apple Online Store.

Last week that new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros, 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, and Mac mini models with M2-series chips are "very likely to launch by the end of 2022." He also said an updated Apple TV with an A14 chip and 4GB of RAM is also on the way, possibly this year.

Another tidbit from Gurman is that Apple is testing sleep tracking for the HomePod, and it's unclear which model, but he doesn't expect the feature to roll out to the public anytime soon. In addition, Gurman also said that Apple has tested under-screen Touch ID in recent years, but he does not expect Touch ID to return to the iPhone in the foreseeable future.
