Apple's 2022 iPad Pro is expected to be released on Tuesday with an M2 chip

Bloomberg Mark Gurman's latest report, Apple plans to announce the launch of the new 2022 iPad Pro with an M2 chip on Tuesday.

Gurman previously said that 2022 refreshed 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models will be announced "within a few days," and in today's tweet, he narrowed the time frame to tomorrow (October 18, US time). The 2022 new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros are codenamed J617 and J620. The new iPad Pro devices are rumored to feature the same M2 chip as the MacBook Air and support for MagSafe wireless charging. No major design changes are expected.

The new 2022 iPad Pro may be announced in the form of an Apple press release. Separately, according to Gurman, Apple is expected to release new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models in late 2022, which are expected to be equipped with M2 series chips, namely the M2 Pro and M2 Max. Gurman also mentioned that an M2 Mac mini is in the works.
