The financial data of iPhone OEM Pegatron showed that in September 2022, Pegatron's revenue was NT$128.855 billion (about 28.992 billion yuan), a month-on-month increase. 11.1%, but down 13.5% year-on-year. In addition, Pegatron's third-quarter revenue was NT$352.862 billion (about 79.394 billion yuan), an increase of 24.4% month-on-month and 9.3% year-on-year; Pegatron's cumulative revenue in the first three quarters of this year reached NT$960.344 billion (about 216.077 billion yuan ) RMB), an increase of 18.3% year-on-year.
Pegatron pointed out that the increase in revenue in September relative to August was mainly because the shipment of information and communication products was better than that in August.
Taiwanese media pointed out that since Pegatron’s main foundry model, the iPhone 14 Plus, has just been launched this year, the market speculates that Pegatron’s September revenue growth month-on-month was mainly due to the continued shipment of the iPhone 13 series and the peak season shipments at the end of the quarter for PCs. However, because the iPhone 13 series was launched in September last year, and the iPhone 14 Plus was launched in October this year, Pegatron's September revenue decreased by 13.5% year-on-year.
