ASRock launches PCIe 5.0 SSD cooler for next-generation motherboards

ASRock has now launched a PCIe 5.0 SSD radiator for its new generation of AMD and Intel motherboards, with a built-in small fan design. As shown in the picture above, ASRock's PCIe 5.0 SSD cooler is available in a variety of styles to suit different styles of motherboards. Its built-in small fan can reach an air volume of 4.92cfm.

Here are the supported motherboard models for this cooler:

At the AMD conference in August, AMD confirmed that PCIe 5.0 will not be released at the same time as the Ryzen 7000, but will be available in November.

PCIe 5.0-related technology manufacturers that cooperate with AMD include Phison, Micron, Asus, Corsair, etc. Both AMD and Intel's next-generation platforms are expected to support PCIe 5.0 SSDs when they hit the market in November.

The current SSD test model equipped with the Phison E26 PCIe 5.0 main control chip has reached an ultra-fast read speed of 10 GB/s. Now, manufacturers are verifying a new generation of materials and NAND flash memory particles, so that the overall performance is further improved, and the read speed can reach more than 12 GB /s.

At present, it is known that PCIe 5.0 SSD has the common 2280 specification, the widened 2580 specification, and the lengthened and widened 25110 specification. AMD's new-generation X670 motherboard has been confirmed to support these three sizes of PCIe 5.0 SSD.
