CATL signed an agreement with Primergy in the United States

CATL announced today that it has reached an agreement with Primergy Solar LLC (Primergy), a U.S. utility and distributed photovoltaic + energy storage development operator, to exclusively supply batteries for the Gemini photovoltaic + energy storage project. The Gemini project is located near Las Vegas, Nevada, with a total investment of $1.2 billion (about 8.628 billion yuan).

Gemini has deployed 690 MWac / 966 MWdc solar panels and a 1.416GWh energy storage system, which, when completed, will be one of the largest photovoltaic energy storage projects in the United States. Earlier this year, Primergy completed a comprehensive and detailed procurement process, selecting several of the world's leading equipment suppliers and construction partners for the Gemini project.

Primergy designed a DC coupling system for the Gemini project, which innovatively combined solar modules with the energy storage system of CATL to maximize efficiency. CATL will provide Primergy with EnerOne, an outdoor liquid-cooled energy storage cabinet with long life, high integration, and high safety. The operation provides assurance to meet Primergy's needs for safe and reliable project operation.
