During this year, Apple iOS / iPadOS 16 will receive five new features.

Apple today released the official version of the iOS 16.1 update, which is the first major update of the iOS 16 operating system since its public release, and also released the official version of iPadOS 16.

Both of these updates have brought many features to Apple's iPhone and iPad users, but according to Apple's official instructions, there are still five features that will be delayed until this year.

One of Apple's signature features of iPadOS 16 is pre-stage scheduling, but pre-stage scheduling support for external displays has been delayed until later in 2022. Play games together with SharePlay

SharePlay on Apple's iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 will see a new feature later this year, and users will be able to use SharePlay to play games with friends and family via FaceTime.

This feature is available for games that have Game Center integration and support multiplayer. In iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, Apple has extended SharePlay to be built into apps like iMessage.

Boundless

Apple will launch a "Boundless Note Freeform" app later this year. "Boundless Note" is a productivity app that allows users to write and draw, jot down flashes of inspiration, or add any needed information. Will be available on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

SOS via satellite

The satellite SOS feature exclusive to Apple's iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro series will be available in November, and users will be able to make emergency SOS calls via satellite communications on the iPhone. Emergency SOS via satellite will initially only be available in the US and Canada and will be free to users for the first two years, after which pricing has not been announced.
