Huawei Watch D smart watch will be sold in Europe on October 12

Huawei launched the Watch D in December 2021, its first smartwatch with blood pressure monitoring. It was launched domestically in December last year. The wearable was unveiled at the Mate Xs2 global launch in Milan, Italy, in May, priced at 449 euros (about 3,130 yuan), and then confirmed during Huawei's keynote speech in Berlin during IFA 2022. Will land on the European market. Now, Huawei has finally revealed that the Watch D smartwatch will land in Germany on October 12.

The Huawei Watch D is similar to all other wearables from this manufacturer but has the main feature that supports the installation of a special air pump/bag next to the strap to provide high-precision blood pressure monitoring. The company claims that the sensor's measurements have an extremely low error of 3 mm Hg. Like the Watch GT 3 Pro, it also supports ECG electrocardiogram.

Huawei executives have confirmed on multiple occasions that the reason for the delay in the listing is due to the cumbersome review process required by the EMA European Medicines Agency, which oversees and regulates pharmaceutical products across the EU.

The first European market where Huawei Watch D will land is Germany, and Italy will also be on sale soon. Each country in Europe will decide for itself whether to approve the blood pressure monitoring wearable. This may take some time.
