India announced the official launch of 5G services at the India Mobile Conference

India announced the official launch of 5G services at the India Mobile Conference on October 1, and will provide it to nearly 75% of the population within the year. The first phase covers 13 cities and will be rolled out nationwide by the end of 2023.

India's first ambulance supporting 5G mobile services was displayed at the conference. This is not only an ambulance but also a mobile intensive care unit.

All the equipment in the intensive care unit, including cameras, electrocardiogram machines, and ventilators, can run on the car with the help of 5G networks.

Through in-vehicle cameras, everything that happens in the car can also be transmitted back to the hospital at high speed through 5G mobile services. Remote doctors can give patients timely treatment with the help of cameras.

The Indian Prime Minister also used 5G to remotely drive a car in Sweden at the launching ceremony by controlling the steering wheel at the New Delhi venue.

According to previous information, India's Bharti Airtel (Airtel) said that it will launch 5G services in 8 cities starting from October 1. Indian telecommunications company Jio has pledged to provide 5G services across the country by December 2023. Vodafone Idea has yet to confirm a launch date for its 5G plans.
