Intel Corporation announced that it will release its financial report for the third quarter of 2022 after the US stock market closes on October 27. After the earnings release, Intel will hold an earnings conference call on October 27 at 2:00 pm Pacific Time.

Intel’s revenue in the second quarter was $15.321 billion, down 22% from $19.631 billion in the same period last year; the net loss was $454 million, compared with $5.061 billion in net profit in the same period the previous year, equivalent to a year-on-year decline of 109%. The gross margin narrowed to 36.5% from 50.4% in the previous quarter. Diluted loss per share was $0.11, compared to earnings per diluted share of $1.24 in the year-ago quarter, representing a year-over-year decline of 109%.
Intel had previously lowered its full-year forecast. The company expects full-year adjusted EPS of $2.30 on revenue of $65 billion to $68 billion. Three months ago, adjusted earnings per share were expected to be $3.60 on revenue of $76 billion. Analysts at Refinitiv had expected Apple to report earnings of $3.42 per share on revenue of $74.34 billion.
