NVIDIA RTX 4080 16GB graphics card 3DMark running score exposure

The first benchmark results of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16GB graphics card have been exposed. Compared with the previous generation 3080, this independent display has a lot of performance improvement in the 3DMark test, and even the leaked 3DMark and game benchmark results have already surpassed the RTX 3090Ti 24GB.

Nvidia launched the 16 GB and 12 GB versions of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 last month, with official suggested prices of 9,499 yuan and 7,199 yuan, respectively. The two graphics cards have different CUDA cores and different GPU chips. The recommended power supply is 750W and 700W.

The RTX 4080 16GB has 9728 CUDA cores and 16 GB of high-speed Micron GDDR6X video memory, and the performance in modern games can reach 2 times that of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti; the performance is more powerful than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti at lower power.

From the test results released by Chiphell user @panzerlied, the benchmark test of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16GB graphics card is based on the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D platform, showing a single-precision performance of 53.6TFLOPs in AIDA64, which is higher than the official claim of 49TFLOPs 8%.

In contrast, the RTX 3090Ti has only 40TFLOPs, so the RTX 4080 16GB single-precision computing performance can be said to be 32.5% higher than the 3090Ti. It is worth mentioning that the current price of the RTX 3090Ti channel is about 9,000~10,000 yuan. Considering the need for power supply and other aspects, it seems that the overall price/performance ratio of the RTX 4080 is not as high as everyone imagined.

In synthetic benchmarks, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB scored 13,977 points in 3DMark Time Spy Extreme, 17,465 points in 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra, and 17,607 points in the 3DMark Port Royal benchmark.
