OPPO had previously launched a low-end A17 smartphone for the Indian market, and now the cheaper A17k model has appeared on OPPO India's official website. The OPPO A17k is equipped with a 6.56-inch 720x1612 resolution 60Hz LCD display, built-in MediaTek Helio G35 chip, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 5000mAh battery. An 8-megapixel autofocus camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel fixed-focus camera on the front.
The phone uses fingerprint recognition for the power button and has a splash resistance rating of IPX4. The phone is pre-installed with the ColorOS 12.1 system based on Android 12. The colors come in gold or navy blue. Compared to the OPPO A17, the A17k has less RAM, a lower-megapixel rear main camera, and no depth sensor. Color options are also different, but other than that, the specs for both are identical.
The OPPO A17k is priced at 10,499 Indian rupees (about 921 yuan), which is cheaper than the OPPO A17, and will be available on the OPPO India online store soon.
