Panel maker AUO's revenue in September was about 3.679 billion yuan

The panel manufacturer AUO announced the latest financial data yesterday. In September 2022, AUO's revenue was NT$16.28 billion (approximately RMB 3.679 billion), a month-on-month increase of 1.6% and a year-on-year decrease of 50.7%.

UO pointed out that the consolidated revenue in the third quarter was NT$49.73 billion (approximately RMB 11.239 billion), a decrease of 20.9% month-on-month and a decrease of 49.8% year-on-year.

According to AUO statistics, the total panel shipment area in September reached 1.243 million square meters, a decrease of 6.7% from the previous month. The total panel shipment area in the third quarter reached 3.876 million square meters, a decrease of 21.2% from the previous quarter and a decrease of 39.9% from the same period last year.

In contrast, AUO's consolidated revenue in August was NT$16.02 billion (about 3.604 billion yuan), a decrease of 8.1% from the previous month and a decrease of 51% from the same period last year, hitting a new low in nearly 31 months.

In addition, TrendForce's TrendForce report shows that TV panel prices stopped falling in October under strict control of utilization rates and stronger demand. Demand for 32-inch panels has strengthened and is expected to rise. However, notebook computers and LCD panels continued to fall.
