Realme partners with Airtel, Jio, Vi to launch bundled 5G phones in India

India announced the official launch of 5G services at the India Mobile Conference on October 1 . Airtel and Jio have revealed their rollout plans in India. At the launch event, Realme announced that it has partnered with Indian telecom companies such as Airtel, Jio, Vi, and companies such as MediaTek and Qualcomm to offer bundled 5G plans in India. Realme said that demand for 5G mobile phones is growing rapidly on a large scale, adding that more than 1 million 5G mobile phones have been sold in the past five days.

According to reports, Realme launched its first 5G smartphone in India in 2020 and has now added 23 5G phones to its portfolio. Realme said it currently has over 5 million 5G users in India. Realme is also expanding the technology into its AIoT portfolio with the Realme Pad X which supports 5G connectivity.

Realme revealed that 85% of the brand's devices already support 5G SA (Jio is launching), and 100% of the devices will support SA this month. Currently, Realme is rolling out OTA updates for the devices to ensure that all users can take full advantage of 5G.
