Samsung 990 PRO flagship PCIe 4.0 SSD is coming soon

In August this year, Samsung officially released the 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 SSD. Now, has released a review of this product, and it is expected that the 990 PRO will be available soon. According to Samsung's official introduction, Samsung's 990 PRO series products Samsung adopts the new V-NAND technology and the newly launched self-developed controller, which can provide ultra-high speed in the PCIe 4.0 interface. This SSD has sequential read and write speeds of up to 7,450 MB/s and 6,900MB/s, and random read and write speeds of up to 1,400K and 1,550K IOPS, respectively. Compared with the 980 PRO, the random read and write performance of the 990 PRO is improved by 55%.

Samsung's newly designed controller greatly improves the energy efficiency of SSDs by up to 50% compared to the 980 PRO. Additionally, the 990 PRO features a nickel coating on the controller and tabbed heatsinks on the hard drives to ensure reliable thermal management. The 990 PRO (heatsink version) also provides an extra layer of thermal control, while it's RGB lighting adds a stylish touch.
