Samsung announced that the official version of One UI 5.0 will be launched this month

The Android 13 -based One UI 5.0 beta has previously been launched in several selected markets, and after several weeks of testing, Samsung revealed the new system during SDC22 (Samsung Developer Conference). Some new news confirms that the system is about to leave the beta phase and roll out to a wide range of users.

The new One UI 5.0 update will bring a variety of new features and changes, including but not limited to: more lock screen customization, expanded color palette capabilities, improved permission notification customization options, slightly redesigned quick toggle area, Better animations, Stacked Widgets, and call background effects for individual contacts.

Samsung has released four One UI 5.0 beta updates for the Galaxy S22 series in some markets. It is unclear whether the fourth beta will be the last one, and when the update will leave the beta phase. The exact date is still unknown. However, at the SDC conference, Samsung confirmed that the One UI 5.0 update is scheduled to leave the beta phase later this month and officially launch for the Galaxy S22. It's almost mid-October, so don't have to wait too long, guessing that the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Z Fold4, and Galaxy Z Flip4 should also receive the One UI 5.0 update this year.
