Sony will release a more entry-level ZV model camera next week

Sony will release a new product around October 12th, which will be a new ZV series fixed lens camera, which is cheaper than the ZV-1. The new ZV camera will not replace the ZV-1, but a new entry-level model. Given that the ZV-1 is currently priced at 4,399 yuan in Jingdong, the new ZV camera may be priced at 3,000 yuan.

In May 2020, Sony released the ZV-1 camera, which uses a one-inch stacked CMOS, has a 20.1-megapixel lens, uses a fixed lens, and has an equivalent focal length of 24-70mm, which can shoot 4K video.

The ZV-1 is equipped with the Real-Time Eye AF focusing system unique to Sony's mirrorless cameras before, which can lock the subject and track the human eye in real time for focusing during 4K video shooting, and the ZV-1 is equipped with a one-button fast background blur conversion function, 3-inch foldable flip LCD screen, windscreen, and built-in microphone. The ZV-1 does not have a Type-C interface, uses the same NP-BX1 battery as the RX100, and weighs about 294 grams.

The ZV-1 will be launched at the end of May 2020 with an initial price of 5,199 yuan.
