TCL CSOT's world premiere 17-inch IGZO inkjet printing OLED folding screen

At the "Forward New Era" theme achievement exhibition on September 27, TCL Huaxing launched the world's first  17-inch IGZO inkjet printed OLED folding display. This product is jointly developed by TCL Huaxing and Guangdong Juhua Printing Display Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Juhua"). It adopts self-luminous inkjet printing OLED technology, with bright and vivid colors, combined with new Oxide compensation circuit technology, and is compatible with NoteBook. , Pad and Monitor.

In addition, the screen supports the smart split-screen function to achieve multi-tasking and collaborative work with the interface. One screen can be used as a notebook display, and the other screen can be used as a display keyboard or note recorder.

By strengthening the design of the folding screen and selecting module materials, TCL Huaxing makes the folding screen's inner folding radius reach 3-5mm, and the dynamic bending life is as high as 100,000-200,000 times. Even if it is opened and closed 100 times a day, it can be used for at least 5 years.

The 17-inch IGZO inkjet printing OLED folding display adopts the flexible inkjet printing OLED technology jointly developed by TCL Huaxing and Guangdong Juhua. Juhua has opened up the printing OLED / QLED process flow and focused on three directions of high resolution, flexible rollable, and printed quantum dot display to carry out technical research, laying a solid technical foundation for the mass production of printing and flexible display technology.

TCL Huaxing said that thanks to Juhua's development in printing OLED device structure, inkjet printing technology, printing and drying film forming technology, flexible thin-film packaging technology, and flexible LLO technology, this 17-inch IGZO IJP OLED folding display has successfully realized technology The research has solved most of the problems in inkjet printing OLED technology and laid the foundation for the mass production of large-scale printing and rollable flexible OLED display technology.

Highlights include:

  • Lower production cost: TCL Huaxing uses the printing method to prepare OLED flexible devices, which can make the material utilization rate reach more than 85%, and the production cost of the printing method is about 20% lower than that of the evaporation method
  • Better film formation process: TCL CSOT optimizes the film formation process of each film layer by shortening the Q-Time, which effectively improves the film formation uniformity in the plane and in the pixel
  • Technical support for mass production: TCL CSOT's medium/large-size perfect LLO technology and 4.5/5.5 generation lines have provided technical reserves and mass production guarantees for the operation of mass production lines. upheaval
