The global intelligent video surveillance market will reach US$25.8 billion in 2021

Omdia's latest report shows that the overall intelligent video surveillance equipment including related infrastructure market size in 2021 will be 25.8 billion US dollars (about 183.954 billion yuan), a year-on-year increase of 13.9%.

The report pointed out that, excluding the infrastructure part, the global intelligent video surveillance equipment market size is estimated to be 22.1 billion US dollars (about 157.573 billion yuan), a year-on-year increase of 20.4%.

Omdia analyzed that the rapid recovery of the market was mainly driven by several factors, including the strong recovery of market demand, supply chain disturbances pushing up product prices, and the strengthening of the exchange rates of major producing countries.

In terms of regions, the Chinese market has recovered the fastest, up 16.4% year-on-year to US$13.1 billion (about 93.403 billion yuan), close to 51% of the global market. Omdia said that thanks to the effective anti-epidemic policies of the Chinese government and a number of economic stimulus plans, social and economic activities have recovered rapidly and market demand has grown rapidly.

According to statistics, the concentration of the global intelligent video surveillance market will further increase in 2021, and the total market share of the top ten global manufacturers will increase from 60.2% in 2020 to 64.1%. Among the top ten market rankings, Chinese manufacturers occupy half of the country, including Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, Huawei, and Tiandi Weiye. The overall share of Chinese manufacturers increased from 47.2% in 2020 to 50.5%.
