According to Weibo blogger @Digital Chat Station, the processors of Honor's next mid-to-high-end series of new phones include Dimensity 1080, Snapdragon 778G+, and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The new main camera and 100W fast charge are the highlights. It is expected to be the Honor 80 series mobile phone.


In addition, the blogger also revealed that this time the Snapdragon 778G is codenamed SM7325-Max, and there is no exclusive period for the Dimensity 1080 chip. In addition to Xiaomi, Realme and Honor will also have new phones.


Today MediaTek released the Dimensity 1080, which uses an octa-core CPU: 2 ARM Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of up to 2.6GHz. 6 ARM Cortex-A55 cores, frequency up to 2GHz. The GPU is still Mali-G68, which can provide a smoother experience in applications such as gaming, streaming media playback, and web browsing. LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage modules are also supported. The Dimensity 1080 is still manufactured using TSMC's 6nm process, which has better energy efficiency and can extend the battery life of smartphones.

The new Dimensity 1080 can process image data from the sensor through the Imagiq ISP, up to 200MP pixels (previously 108MP), and supports quad cameras. Dimensity 1080 also integrates a hardware-level 4K HDR video recording engine to provide better low-light shooting effects.
