TSMC announced its September results today. The consolidated revenue in September was NT$208.25 billion (about 47.064 billion yuan), a decrease of 4.5% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 36.4%. Total revenue from January to September 2022 was NT$1,638.36 billion, a year-on-year increase of 42.6%.
TSMC's revenue in August hit a record high. Based on TSMC's previous revenue forecast for the third quarter, the single-quarter revenue was denominated in US dollars of about 19.8 billion to 20.6 billion US dollars or NTD 29.7 to 1 US dollar. Based on exchange rates, the revenue in the third quarter was approximately NT$588.1 billion to 611.8 billion, a quarterly increase of 10 to 14.5%.
Judging from TSMC's revenue performance from July to August, the market estimates that as long as the revenue in September exceeds NT$183.2 billion, TSMC's revenue target for the third quarter can be achieved. It will help TSMC's NTD revenue.
