Xiaomi revokes after-sales maintenance notices for Redmi K20 Pro and other models

Today, Xiaomi's official product announcement for discontinuation of service stated that from October 1, 2022, many mobile phones under Xiaomi and Redmi will stop after-sales maintenance services.

Specific models include:

Mi 8, Mi 9 SE, Mi 9 Transparent, Mi 9 Transparent Premium, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20 Pro Premium

However, this afternoon, the above-mentioned models in the announcement have been withdrawn, and it is not clear why.

According to the announcement page, the models listed in the announcement have ceased production and the manufacturer no longer supplies the spare parts required for after-sales service, and the maintenance materials have exceeded the legal supply period. Xiaomi after-sales will no longer be able to provide maintenance and after-sales services. Users can continue to enjoy after-sales service of testing, debugging, cleaning and maintenance.

However, in Xiaomi's October service week event, Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 Pro exclusives are still unable to participate in the event.

The two models showed in the September announcement that the battery could be replaced by 80% off in October, but they were removed from the October announcement, and Xiaomi officially said that the two models were " off the market ."

These models announced on October 1 were all released in 2018 or 2019, and before that, Xiaomi 8 SE, Xiaomi 8 Youth, Xiaomi 8 Explorer Edition (transparent), Xiaomi 8 screen Fingerprints (transparent & non-transparent) are out of service.
