AMD released its own Radeon RX 7900 XTX test data

AMD yesterday released the latest generation of Radeon RX 7900 XTX (7999 yuan) and Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card (7399 yuan) flagship graphics cards, which will go on sale on December 13.

At the press conference, AMD released its own Radeon RX 7900 XTX test data.

According to @harukaze5719, who compiled AMD's official benchmark data and compared it to the NVIDIA RTX 4090, the RX 7900 XTX achieved performance on par with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 in Cyberpunk 2077 and Metro Exodus at 4K. At the same time, it can reach 83 FPS and 60 FPS respectively in the two games, and the latter also has ray tracing mode turned on.

In Ubisoft's masterpiece "Watch Dogs: Legion", AMD's Radeon RX 7900 XTX's 4K performance is also very close to the GeForce RTX 4090, which can reach 132 FPS, only 9 FPS lower than NVIDIA's flagship card.

In 4K Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX hit 306FPS, which is 6 FPS lower than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090.

There are no charts for several other games because there is no official data comparison yet. According to AMD, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX also performs well in other games:
  • Resident Evil 8: Village (Ray Tracing): 138 FPS
  • Doom Eternal (Ray Tracing): 135 FPS
  • Assassin's Creed: Valhalla: 109 FPS
  • God of War: 98 FPS
  • Red Dead Redemption 2: 93 FPS

The Nvidia RTX 4090 is really strong, but the reason why this card can reach the starting price of 12,999 yuan is probably because of the AI professional performance and CUDA support that are difficult for ordinary gamers to use, rather than pure Game performance, so these two cards have their own suitable user groups, and cannot be generalized by the number of game frames alone.
