AMD releases chipset driver update to fix Windows 11 22H2 blue screen of death

AMD has released the latest chipset driver version 4.11.15.342 for various platforms of Athlon, Ryzen, and Threadripper processors. The new version brings several fixes that address an issue that caused a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) in Windows 11 2022 Update as well as previous versions of Windows.

There are several known issues with the latest drivers:

  • Sometimes custom installations fail to upgrade to the latest drivers.
  • Text alignment issues may occur in a Russian environment.
  • Non-English operating systems require a manual system reboot after installation is complete.
  • On non-English operating systems, the uninstall summary log might incorrectly show the status of the uninstall as failed.
