Apple is offering up to 10% off MacBook Pro purchases in bulk

Apple offers discounts of up to 10% for small and medium-sized enterprises to purchase 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models in bulk to promote Mac sales during the holiday season. That's a bigger discount than usual for businesses, and Apple described it as a very special Mac event.

On an earnings call in October, Apple CFO Luca Maestri said Apple expects Mac revenue to be significantly lower year-over-year in the October-December period.

The decline in Mac sales is due to the introduction of a new Mac lineup in 2021 that includes 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. And Apple has no plans for a Mac refresh in the last few months of the year, and nothing to stimulate holiday season sales.

Apple updated the MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro in June, but the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models won't get an update until 2023. Apple also didn't update the iMac, Mac mini, and Mac Pro this year.

The launch of the MacBook Air in June drove significant sales of Macs in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2022, with Macs contributing $11.5 billion in revenue.
