Apple offers same-unit repairs for all four iPhone 14 models

According to an internal memo obtained by foreign technology media MacRumors, Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers worldwide will successively provide same-machine repairs for all four iPhone 14 models without the need to Replace the entire device.

The policy went into effect last week, with Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers now ordering parts to complete repairs on the iPhone 14 series in-store.

The back glass of the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models released by Apple in September this year adopts a detachable design to facilitate subsequent maintenance. It's also the first model since the iPhone 4S that can be opened from both the front and back. The change doesn't extend to the iPhone 14 Pro models, which can only be opened from the front.

In the US, it will cost $99 to replace the battery on any iPhone 14 model at an Apple Store, compared to $69 for the previous model. Customers with AppleCare+ can replace their iPhone batteries for free, provided the battery is less than 80 percent full.
