Apple releases firmware update for Powerbeats Pro (5B55)/Beats Fit Pro (5B55)/Beats Studio Buds (10M2155) headphones

Apple released a new firmware update for the Powerbeats Pro, Beats Fit Pro, and Beats Studio Buds headphones. The Powerbeats Pro firmware version is 5B55, which is higher than the previous 4A394; the Beats Studio Buds firmware version is 10M2155, which is higher than the previous 10M359; the Beats Fit Pro firmware version is 5B55, which is higher than the previous 4E64.

Apple hasn't provided details on the firmware update for Beats headphones or AirPods headphones, so we're not sure what exact improvements or bug fixes the new firmware brings. Apple appears to have added a new option to the Beats Studio Buds, which allows users to cancel a call by pressing a button on the device once or twice.

There is no standard way to upgrade Beats software, but the firmware is usually installed OTA when the headphones are connected to an iOS device. Putting the Beats headphones in the charging case, connecting them to a power source, and then pairing the headphones with an iPhone or iPad is expected to force an update within a short period of time.
