Apple says iOS 16 update coming soon to fix ad-related issues

According to Apple's system status page, the company is updating iOS 16 to fix issues related to its advertising framework SKAdNetwork. Apple said the problem began on November 3, but gave no other details.

Apple said, there is an issue affecting SKAdNetwork for users of iOS 16.1, and we are working to quickly resolve this issue in a software update.

SKAdNetwork enables advertisers to measure ad success by attributing app installs to specific ad campaigns. In other words, it enables advertisers to know how successful an ad is in getting users to download an app from the App Store. iOS 16.1 released SKAdNetwork 4.0 two weeks ago, giving advertisers more performance insights, adding support for web ads, and including other improvements.

Apple is preparing an update to iOS 16.1.1, hoping to fix this bug and an issue where Wi-Fi on iPhones disconnects randomly. iOS 16.2 is also in beta and is expected to be officially released in December.
