ASUS official website has announced the new W680 motherboard, the model is Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI, supports 12/13 generation Core processors, and can install DDR5 ECC memory. ASUS says the Pro Workstation motherboards are designed for professionals in AI, deep learning, animation, 3D rendering, or media production.
This motherboard uses an Intel LGA 1700 socket and supports 13th and 12th-generation Intel Core processors, as well as Pentium Gold and Celeron processors. In terms of scalability, this motherboard is equipped with dual PCIe 5.0*16 SafeSlots and dual PCIe 3.0*16 slots, with 3 M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots, equipped with SlimSAS interface, equipped with dual Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet interface, and USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C and Thunderbolt 4 ports. There are four memory slots, supporting DDR5-4800 ECC and non-ECC memory.
At present, ASUS has not yet announced the price and time to market of this motherboard.
