Birkenstock slippers worn by Steve Jobs sell for $218,000

The Birkenstock brand slippers worn by Steve Jobs were sold for $218,000. This pair of slippers could have sold for up to 80,000 US dollars, but because of the incorporation of NFT elements, this pair of slippers broke the price expectation.

Jobs did wear Birkenstock brand slippers in the 1970s and 1980s in the many video materials left so far, but it is currently impossible to confirm that the pair in this auction is what Jobs wore.

Jobs had given the slippers to his house manager, Mark Sheff. However, Julian Auctions did not admit that the slippers came from Shef.

In an interview with media in 2018, Jobs' daughter Crisann Brennan once said, Slippers are part of his pursuit of simplicity... It has become a kind of work clothes for him. The advantage of work clothes is that you don't have to worry about what to wear in the morning.
