Canon may bring a new APS-C frame camera positioned between EOS R7 and R10, like a new SLR EOS 77D positioning machine, but the name is still uncertain, and foreign media speculate that it may be EOS R8 / R9.
The previously rumored EOS R50 will meet you in the first half of next year. Its positioning will be lower than that of the EOS R10. It is expected to be a compact and lightweight Vlog model, or to replace the EOS M series.
The following is a summary of all rumors in the next 12 months:
- Canon EOS R8 / EOS R9: Positioned between EOS R7 and EOS R10, it is likely to be in APS-C format, but unfortunately there is no information about the specifications.
- Canon EOS R50: Positioned lower than Canon EOS R10, it may be similar to the EOS M series. Whether it will have a built-in EVF remains to be seen.
- Canon EOS R5 S: The long-rumored high-pixel new machine.
- Canon EOS R5 Mark II: If nothing else, it will be available in the second quarter of 2023.
- Canon EOS R7 C: This product seems to have been scrapped, similar to the Canon EOS R7 cinema camera.
