Coreboot Project Announces Its Formal Joining of the Open Source Firmware Foundation Today

The Open Source Firmware Foundation (Open-Source Firmware Foundation) was established at the beginning of this year to promote the development of open-source firmware. The Coreboot project announced today that it has officially joined the Open Firmware Foundation.

The Open Source Firmware Foundation was co-founded by 9elements Cyber ​​Security and Mullvad VPN and was established in Oregon, USA as a non-profit mutual benefit company.

 Since its establishment, the Open Source Firmware Foundation has been trying to appeal to Intel to open source FSP, but it has not yet been recognized by Intel. LinuxBoot officially joined the Open Source Firmware Foundation this summer. The Coreboot project also announced before Christmas that it has officially become a member of the Open Source Firmware Foundation.
