Goertek issued a risk warning announcement today, saying that it has recently received a notice from a major overseas customer to suspend the production of one of its smart acoustic complete products. At present, the cooperation with the customer's other product projects is still in progress.
The announcement shows that this business change is expected to affect the operating income in 2022 of no more than RMB 3.3 billion, accounting for about 4.2% of the company's audited operating income in 2021. At the end of October, Goertek disclosed its results for the third quarter of 2022. The company achieved a net profit of 3.840 billion yuan attributable to the parent in the first nine months, an increase of 15.23%; the total operating income was 74.153 billion yuan, an increase of 40.47%. On the same day, Goertek announced its 2022 annual performance forecast. It is expected that the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company will be 4.06 billion yuan to 4.702 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of -5% to 10%. The net profit last year was 4.275 billion yuan. The company continues to increase investment in research and development. The company's research and development expenses in 22Q1-Q3 were 3.491 billion yuan, an increase of 40.05%, and continued to increase research and development investment in virtual reality, acoustics, optics, and other fields.
