Huawei completes field performance verification of 5G millimeter wave independent networking

From the IMT-2020 (5G) promotion team of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Huawei has completed the field performance test project under the 5G millimeter-wave independent network. Under the DDDSU frame structure, the peak downlink rate of a single user exceeds 7.2Gbps, and the peak uplink rate of a single user under the DSUUU frame structure exceeds 2.2Gbps.

In the functional test: Huawei completed the flexible frame structure of different time slot ratios (DDDSU and DSUUU) under independent networking (SA, Stand Alone), mmWave downstream 4*200MHz and upstream 2*200MHz In-band CA (Carrier Aggregation, carrier aggregation) and other test items.

In the outfield single-user throughput performance test, the test results are close to the theoretical peak. Using the DDDSU frame structure, the millimeter-wave single-user downlink peak rate is greater than 7.2Gbps; using the DSUUU frame structure, the millimeter-wave single-user uplink peak rate is greater than 2.2Gbps. Technological innovation will enable the rapid development of 5.5G uplink ultra-broadband services in the future, such as Large upstream services such as machine vision and high-definition video backhaul.
