Hyundai Mobis plans to build an electric vehicle power system plant in Georgia, USA

Korean auto parts manufacturer Hyundai Mobis plans to invest 926 million US dollars to build an electric vehicle power system plant in Blaine County, Georgia, USA. The new plant is Hyundai Motor Group's second electric vehicle factory in Georgia, covering an area of ​​1.2 million square feet. Construction is expected to begin in January 2023 and production will begin in 2024. The plant will eventually employ 1,500 people.

In October this year, Hyundai Motor Group broke ground on a $5.5 billion electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Bryan County. The plant is the group's first in the United States and is expected to open in 2025. Produce up to 300,000 electric vehicles.

Previously, in early October, foreign media reported that Hyundai Mobis would invest $1.3 billion to build an electric vehicle parts factory in the United States.

Hyundai Mobis is one of the three main companies of the Hyundai Motor Group. It is an auto parts supplier. In addition to supplying parts to the two major manufacturers of Hyundai and Kia, the company also supplies to other manufacturers.

In mid-October this year, foreign media reported that Hyundai Mobis had begun supplying chassis modules to luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz for the latter's four pure electric SUVs.
