Intel CEO Kissinger: The company follows Moore's Law and is committed to developing semiconductor design and manufacturing

The 2022 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit was held. Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said that looking ahead to the next decade, everything will continue to be digital, the way we work, learn, connect, develop and operate. The digital process is driven by chips.

Kissinger said that the digital age will witness the true magic of technology, and the super technical forces include:

  • Computing, everything is a computer
  • connection, all people and things are interconnected
  • Infrastructure, infinitely expandable capacity and coverage, while meeting the demand for lower latency and higher bandwidth
  • Artificial intelligence, intelligence everywhere, transforms infinite data into actionable insights

These ubiquitous super-technological forces satisfy our desire to simulate everything, from fully immersive digital experiences to intelligent clones, to virtual economies, metaverse experiences, and more. As these superpowers develop, the world's need for computing will multiply.

Kissinger pointed out that Intel follows Moore's Law and is committed to developing semiconductor design and manufacturing to help its customers in China and around the world solve the major challenges they face.

The following is the main content of Pat Kissinger's speech:

Hi, I'm Intel's CEO, Pat Kissinger. It is a great honor to be invited to participate in the World Internet Conference again and gather with you all.

Technology is playing an increasingly important role in every aspect of human life. Looking ahead to the next decade, everything will continue to be digital, the way we work, learn, connect, develop and operate. The digital process is driven by chips.

In the digital age, we will witness the true magic of technology. With the superpowers of technology I often say, we can foster innovation, exploration, and growth. These foundational technologies drive the leap from the analog to the digital age, profoundly shaping the way we experience the world, and together they reinforce and empower each other. As supertechnological powers become more commonplace, they will unlock new and more powerful possibilities.

Superpowers include computing, where everything is a computer; connectivity, where everyone and everything are interconnected; infrastructure, infinitely scalable capacity, and coverage while meeting the need for lower latency and higher bandwidth; artificial Intelligence, intelligence everywhere, turning limitless data into actionable insights.

Over the past year, I've been talking about the power of super technology and having great conversations with customers and industry colleagues. In addition to the above four items, we should also add "sensing and perception" to the super technical power. The massive data provided by edge smart devices is integrated with the progress in the fields of automation, processing, reasoning, and software, giving machines a human-oriented ability, so that they can help us see things invisible to the naked eye, identify objects for us, and identify where we are. Machines are augmenting our perception of reality in new and exciting ways.

These ubiquitous super-technological forces fulfill our desire to simulate everything from fully immersive digital experiences to intelligent clones to virtual economies, metaverse experiences and more. Of course, with the development of these superpowers, the world's need for computing will multiply.

For more than 30 years, Intel and China have maintained a long-term partnership to build the digital world. Starting in 1985, Intel is one of the first multinational companies to do business in China. Since then, Intel has partnered with our customers, some of the world's most innovative companies such as Alibaba, ByteDance, and Tencent, through more than $13 billion in investments and the efforts of more than 11,000 talented Chinese employees. Successfully built digital infrastructure that promotes industrial and economic growth.

Intel has high expectations for its development in China, and China also has high hopes for Intel. Intel China adheres to Intel's purpose and creates technology that can benefit society through our super technology power. Following Moore's Law, Intel is committed to advancing semiconductor design and manufacturing to help its customers in China and around the world solve the major challenges they face. By integrating intelligence into the cloud, edge, and end, coupled with powerful computing power, we can unlock the potential of data, fuel growth, and make entire industries and societies better.

Thank you all for your support and cooperation. I wish this conference a complete success! Looking forward to seeing you all offline soon.
