Ningde Times announced its election to the board of directors of the Global Battery Alliance

CATL announced today that it has been elected to the new board of directors of the Global Battery Alliance. The announcement was made by the Global Battery Alliance (GBA) for the period April 2023 to December 2024.

Ningde Times stated that the company is the only Chinese company elected to the board of directors of the Global Battery Alliance, and is also a member of the Alliance's Supervisory Committee.

According to the data, the Global Battery Alliance was established by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2017 and is the first global battery association. The members of the Global Battery Alliance are representatives from industry enterprises, governments, non-governmental organizations, and academia, covering all aspects of the global battery industry chain.

According to Ningde Times, the Global Battery Alliance is actively carrying out actions in battery passport, traceability system, ESG, and other aspects, aiming to create a sustainable, responsible, and fair global battery industry chain by 2030.

As one of the world's largest power battery manufacturers, CATL achieved revenue of 97.369 billion yuan in the third quarter of 2022, a year-on-year increase of 232.47%; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was approximately 9.424 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 188.42%.
