Nothing Phone (1) pushes Nothing OS 1.1.7 update

Nothing Phone (1) started pushing the Nothing OS 1.1.7 update today, which adds support for displaying the battery percentage of connected Apple AirPods wireless headsets, as well as other improvements and bug fixes. Nothing Phone (1) users can check for OTA updates by going to Settings -> System -> System Updates. Keep in mind that since support for showing AirPods battery level is still an experimental feature, it may not work in all situations.

The feature can be enabled on newer Nothing Phone (1) models by going to the Experimental features section in the device settings menu.

According to the release notes, the update also includes the November 2022 Android security patch, and provides more accurate battery status, improves the fluency of the operating system and reduces stuttering, and improves performance when recording video. audio quality, and adjusted the thermal threshold to better balance performance and temperature.

Previously, Nothing CEO Carl Pei said that he would work on enabling Nothing devices to work with a variety of different products and accessories. In July of this year, Carl Pei said,

We are building support for third-party products and believe that our users may need to pair these products, such as AirPods Pro or Tesla.
