Nut mobile phone has been revealed to have a new next-generation machine

Today, blogger @果果派pai said that he received a reply from the official customer service of JMGO Mobile, saying that ByteDance will develop its own mobile phone project, which seems to imply that JMGO Mobile will return.

However, the official Weibo of Nut Mobile later commented below:

The above customer service reply information is not accurate, and there is currently no relevant plan.

The latest model of JMGO mobile phone - JMGO R2 will be released in 2020, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, dual-mode 5G, WiFi 6, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB UFS3.1 ROM, 6.67-inch full HD 90Hz dual Curved AMOLED screen, 4510mAh battery capacity, 55W fast charging, NFC, dual speakers, etc., priced from 4499 yuan.

In January 2019, ByteDance acquired part of the patent rights of Smartisan Technology, saying that it would explore related businesses in the field of education. Some employees of Smartisan Technology signed employee contracts with Beijing ByteDance Technology Co. Ltd. The JMGO mobile phone team has since announced the name Xinshi Lab within the ByteDance Group.

In January 2021, ByteDance decided to merge Xinshi Lab into the educational hardware team headed by Yang Luyu, the original founder of Musical.ly. The merged hardware team will focus on the education field, and will no longer develop other unrelated products such as Nut phones and TNT displays.
