Nvidia will use GDDR6X memory version RTX 3060Ti to gradually replace the old models

Last month Nvidia officially launched the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GDDR6X and the GeForce RTX 3060 with 8GB of video memory. The company says the two graphics cards are designed to give gamers more options.

According to Bobantang, NVIDIA and its AIC will gradually cancel the GDDR6 version of the RTX 3060Ti and plan to replace the existing GDDR6 inventory with the GDDR6X version of the 3060 Ti. Therefore, the new version of RTX 3060 Ti will have a higher memory frequency, and the bandwidth has increased by about 35%.

Most importantly, the GDDR6X upgrade will still use the same price as the original GDDR6 model, which is 2999 yuan.

Still, there's no indication that NVIDIA will replace the RTX 3060 12GB version with an 8GB model, and it wouldn't make sense at all.

Judging from the current hot sales of RTX 4090 and even RTX 30 series mining cards, Nvidia has no plan to launch a new RTX 4060 series graphics card in the near future. The performance of the graphics card is expected to reach the level of 3070, and it is expected to be released in June of next year.
