PCIe 5.0 SSD is delayed

AMD said at the launch of the Ryzen 7000 processor that PCIe 5.0 SSDs will be available in November. November is coming to an end, and there are still no products listed.

At the 2022 Flash Memory Summit, AMD and Phison demonstrated the E26 master PCIe Gen5 SSD running on the Ryzen 7000 platform, with a read speed of 10GB/s.

The current E26 main control chip combined with 2400MT/s bandwidth 3D-TLC flash memory can achieve an ultra-fast reading speed of 10 GB/s. After that, the manufacturer will continue to verify the new generation of materials and NAND flash memory particles, so that the overall performance will be further improved, and the read speed can reach more than 12 GB/s.

The latest motherboard platforms of AMD and Intel already support PCIe 5.0 SSD, and radiator manufacturers have also launched many M.2 active radiators, but no manufacturer has announced the exact time to market for PCIe 5.0 SSD.
