Strategy Analytics released a report today, sharing the top ten models of the Japanese smartphone market share in the third quarter of 2022. Among them, Apple’s iPhone models took the top five and occupied 8 of the top ten, including the iPhone 13 series, iPhone 14 series, iPhone 12, iPhone SE, and many other models.
The top ten models of the Japanese smartphone market share in the third quarter of 2022 include:

- Apple iPhone SE 5G (2022)
- Apple iPhone 14 5G
- Apple iPhone 14 Pro 5G
- Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max 5G
- Google Pixel 6a 5G
- Sharp Aquos Wish 2 5G
- Apple iPhone 12 5G
- Apple iPhone 13 Pro 5G
- Apple iPhone 13 mini 5G
Google Pixel 6a 5G and Sharp Aquos Wish 2 5G also entered the top ten in the Japanese smartphone market share in Q3. The report pointed out that in the third quarter of 2022, Google Pixel 6a ranked sixth in sales in the Japanese market, saying that it is rare to break into the top ten in a market dominated by Apple and local manufacturers.
Strategy Analytics says the Pixel 6a is No. 25 in the U.S. market but is expected to rise in the next few quarters; Canada is No. 23, and the Pixel 6a is one of the few top 25 phones other than two TCL phones and OnePlus One of the non-Apple, non-Samsung smartphones.
