Samsung Galaxy S21 series launches official version of Android 13 / One UI 5.0 for India and other Asian regions

Last week, Samsung released the stable Android 13 update for the Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20, and Galaxy S21 in advance in European countries. Now, Samsung has released a stable update to the Galaxy S21 series outside of Europe.

Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra get stable Android 13 (One UI 5.0) updates in India, Kazakhstan, and Russia. The new software firmware version is G99xBXXU5DVJC and includes the November 2022 security patch. Samsung devices running One UI 4.1.1 will get a major update with a download size of about 2GB. Those devices that are testing One UI 5.0 will get the same update, with a download of about 275MB.

Samsung Galaxy S21 users can download the Android 13 update by navigating to Settings - Software Update and tapping "Download and Install".

The Samsung Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update brings an innovative UI design, stacked widgets, slight changes to the notification area and quick settings toggle, and a simplified settings menu. Samsung has added many new features to its built-in apps, including Bixby, Camera, Device Care, Samsung Calendar, Samsung Gallery, Samsung Internet Browser, Samsung Messages, and Samsung My Files.

Samsung has also improved the performance and smoothness of the user interface. The company improved accessibility, rebranded Bixby Routines as Modes & Routines, and merged the privacy and security sections in the Settings app. There's also a "Connected Devices" menu where users can find all connected devices, whether wired or wireless.
