Samsung opened its developer conference on October 12, talking about the One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13, and officially confirmed that the official version of the One UI 5.0 update will be pushed to the Galaxy S22 series in October, and will be launched in October. Push to the remaining flagship products before 2023. One UI 5.0 is equipped with the Android 13 kernel, with new features such as lock screen customization, expanded color palette, improved permission notification customization options, slightly redesigned quick switching area, and better animation effects.
Sally Hyesoon Jeong, Vice President of Android Framework R&D at Samsung Electronics, said in an interview,
One UI 5.0 is currently being launched in most markets around the world. From an engineering and product management standpoint, it's impossible to give a firm date for every eligible model, but we hope to have a rollout within this year.
